Spiritual meditations on the infinite
My Cosmos of the Spirit series of paintings are inspired by Spiritual Meditations on the infinite: a universe with and beginning and no end. The vehicle which I have used to communicate the world of the Spirit is the Arabic letter noon which is a crescent crowned with a dot.
I have chosen compositions which celebrate the curved lines of the crescent because curved lines represent God and all he has created in Nature. Unlike straight lines which represent man-made objects, in the universe everything is based on the circle: the solar system, the planets, their satellites, the earth, flowers organisms, and the most basic cell, molecules and atom. Curved lines are more graceful, poetic and inspire philosophic and spiritual thought and reverence.
